The Offshore Distress Kit 6 Litre polybottle is employed when users are more than 7 miles from land. It contains 4 Off Red Handflares for use in day or night with a short-range distress signal used to pinpoint position. The handflare is suitable for use on other commercial and recreational boats. The kit also contains 4 Off Para Red Rockets, a day or night long-range distress signal, suitable for use in recreational boats and 2 Off Orange and Off Buoyant Lifesmoke MK8 handsmokes for use in day distress signal & to mark the position during a rescue operation. This is ideal to indicate wind direction to rescue helicopters in land or sea rescues.
